Audi has launched the 2015 Audi Q3 in India at Rs 28.99 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. While the main competitor for the Q3 will be the Mercedes-Benz GLA, the BMW X1 and Mini Countryman compact SUVs are also competitors for the Q3.
The Q3 gets a mild exterior update. Major front end features are a brushed silver surround around its slightly tweaked hexagonal black grille and a set of new LED headlamps with an all-new daytime running light design. The side gets a reworked set of side skirts and changes to the rear include new LED tail lights with a rather aggressive lighting design and a new rear bumper with a diffuser. The Q3 exterior now features ample use brushed silver effects. The top of the line Q3 gets a set of nice split 5-spoke 17-inch (235/55 R17) alloy wheels, while the manual version gets smaller 16-inch (215/65 R16) wheels.
The interior too gets brushed silver carbon feel panels on the dashboard and the centre gear-shift console. New to be added to this facelifted version includes a satellite navigation package, a popup screen and a new 20GB jukebox that owners can store multimedia in.
The Q3 at launch will only be offered with the 2.0-litre diesel mill and badged as the 35 TDI. This familiar motor has been slightly worked upon and now delivers even more power which actually makes the Q3 quite a lot of fun to drive especially on the highway. The Q3 also gets paddle shifters now to hustle the seven speed dual clutch gearbox and and all wheel drive Quattro drivetrain that lets you put all the 177PS of peak power and 280Nm of peak torque down on the tarmac.
