Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Facelift Gets More Power And Lot Of Chrome

With the SUV/MUV segment gaining more and more traction by the day, it is no wonder that almost every auto manufacturer want to have a slice of it. That translates into more choices for new car buyers, and that’s always a good thing. As the days count down to the 2016 Auto Expo, we take a look at nine SUVs and MUVs that will be showcased by various manufacturers at the event.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer is all set to enter the compact SUV segment with the Vitara Brezza which will be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Vitara Brezza will compete against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300.
New Toyota Innova: Officially christened as the Innova Crysta, Toyota will be unveiling the new Innova MUV at the Expo. The new Innova will feature an all-new design both inside and out which is bound to be a crowd magnet at the event.
Mercedes-Benz GLC: Mercedes-Benz will unveil a new offering, the GLC, a mid-sized luxurious SUV, at the Auto Expo. A lavishly-specced crossover with the interiors of a sedan, the GLC will compete against the likes of the Volvo XC60, BMW X3, Porsche Macan, Audi Q5, and the Land Rover Discovery Sport.
BMW X1: After achieving success with the previous version of the X1, the BMW stall will showcase the all-new X1 at the Auto Expo. The new X1 further enhances the compact luxury crossover by making more space on the inside as BMW has opted for FWD in the new model.
Tata Osprey: Based on the Nexon concept, the Tata Osprey is a compact SUV with the same underpinnings as the Bolt and Zest. The Osprey will be on display at the event and is expected to carry a sticker price between Rs 6 to 8 lakhs when launched. The compact SUV offering from Tata will compete against the Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV 300, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
Honda BR-V: Possibly one of the most awaited SUVs from the Japanese manufacturer, the BR-V will be an all-new offering from Honda. The seven-seater SUV will be on display at the Honda enclosure at the Auto Expo. The Honda BR-V will be competing against the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano, and the Renault Duster.
Hyundai Tuscon: With the unveiling scheduled at the upcoming Auto Expo, Hyundai will be re-introducing the Tuscon which has now been built on an all-new platform. When launched, the new Tuscon will make its place between the Creta and the Santa Fe. Competition-wise, the Tuscon will square off against the likes of the Honda CR-V and the Chevrolet Trailblazer.
Jeep Grand Cherokee: American SUV manufacturer Jeep has finally landed in India and will showcase the mammoth Grand Cherokee at the Expo. Imported via the CBU route, the Grand Cherokee is a rugged SUV which will trade paint against the likes of the Audi Q7, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, and the new Land Rover Discovery Sport.
Mahindra XUV Aero Concept: With design inputs from the recently acquired Pininfarina design house, Mahindra will exhibit the XUV Aero concept at the Expo, a coupe-crossover model based on the XUV 5OO. The concept model will serve as a showcase of the design philosophy which the manufacturer intends to follow for its future cars.
