2016 Jaguar XJ launched at Rs 98.03 lakh

Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd. (JLRIL) has launched the new XJ in India which carries a starting price of Rs 98.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The flagship model has been updated with refreshed styling, innovative new technologies, and more polished engines. The new Jaguar XJ will be manufactured at JLR’s Pune facility. The 2016 XJ is available now at all authorised Jaguar dealerships across the nation.

The exterior of the 2016 Jaguar XJ largely remains the same as the current outgoing model. The front of the 2016 XJ now showcases a more upright grille sporting a mesh pattern while the headlights are now full-LEDs and carry Jaguar’s ‘Double J’ daytime running lights design. The LED treatment continues to the rear too, where the tail lights now have a unique elliptical design which the company claims to be brighter and more efficient.

Shifting to the plush interiors of the 2016 Jaguar XJ, the conventional cluster is now replaced by a high-definition instrument panel display. The instrumental cluster is combined with the 20.32cm touch-screen which provides all the necessary information behind the steering wheel or on the centre console. The front seats of the 2016 XJ are pre-programmed with five settings for maximum comfort while the rear are airline-styled reclining seats with three pre-installed massage procedures.

Its luxurious interiors, powerful engine and latest technology will enhance the in-car experience of our discerning customers by making it even more productive, entertaining and relaxing.”

The 2016 Jaguar XJ will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which is capable of producing 240PS of power and 340Nm of torque. The diesel variant is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged engine which has been enhanced to churn out 300PS of power and an impressive 700Nm of torque. Both the variants will be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The new Jaguar XJ is offered in 8-colour options to select from which includes: Polaris White, Rhodium Silver, Ammonite Grey, Dark Sapphire, Odyssey Red, Aurora Red, British Racing Green and Ultimate Black. Expect Jaguar to showcase the new XJ at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo in New Delhi.
