2017 Range Rover Evoque Introduced At Rs 49.10 Lakh

Just as we were preparing to say goodbye to 2016, Land Rover has surprised us with the launch of its 2017 Evoque. Prices for this baby Land Rover start from Rs 49.10 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Also, with this launch, Land Rover has also introduced limited units of the Range Rover Evoque Ember edition, which has a completely blacked-out look with red accents and the Ingenium 2.0-litre diesel engine. 

In terms of changes, the biggest introduction has been of a diesel motor. The all-aluminium 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel has replaced the older 2.2-litre SD4 unit. This 2.0-litre diesel is the same engine which performs propulsion duties in the Jaguar XF. But, unlike the Jag's eight-speed gearbox, the Evoque continues to retain the nine-speed automatic transmission. The new diesel motor produces 180PS of power and 430Nm of torque, which is 10PS less and 10Nm more than the older diesel. All variants of the Evoque feature four-wheel drive. Also, the Evoque gets the Land Rover's 'Terrain Response System' which lets the driver choose between Grass, Snow, Sand and Rocks modes. 

Inside the cabin, the 2017 Evoque gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system (InControl Touch Pro Infotainment system) for the top-end trims (HSE and HSE Dynamic) and continues to retain the eight-inch screen for the lower variants. Outside, the 2017 model gets adaptive LED headlights with LED signature lighting. The Ember Edition of the Evoque is available with the HSE Dynamic variant and features a 'Santorini Black' paint which has a 'Firenze Red' coloured roof. The cabin is also dressed in a similar theme, with 'Ebony Black' coloured seats and contrasting 'Pimento Red' stitching.
