The Suzuki Hayabusa is amongst the most popular motorcycle on sale globally. Its claim to fame has been its bonkers top speed which made the EU to even regulate the maximum speed for any production bike. But over the past few years the Hayabusa has somewhat lost its sheen with competition stepping up the game and the bike hasn’t received much of an update for the past few years. But all that could change with the next generation Suzuki Hayabusa set to make its debut next year.
Suzuki have been very tight-lipped about details regarding the 2017 Hayabusa but now patent drawings of the frame have surfaced on the internet. The frame would be completely revised which should aid in improving its handling dynamics as the bike was never nimble on its feet given its mass. The other aspect that the engineers are focussing is to make the new motorcycle lighter than from its predecessor which currently tips the scale at 266kg. Also it is reported that the bike will undergo cosmetic update to be more aerodynamic and will have a more sculpted frontend. The current generation Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340cc in-line four motor churning out 200PS of maximum power and 139Nm of peak torque. It is being reported that the 2016 Suzuki Hayabusa will get a larger displacement 1,500cc motor which isn’t really surprising. So expect the new Busa to set some benchmarks in the performance motorcycle segment.
