Jeep has launched the fourth-generation Wrangler in India. The fourth-gen Wrangler is available in a sole Unlimited variant and is now priced at Rs 63.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Like before, Jeep has introduced only one variant for the SUV. However, this time around only the petrol variant has been launched and there is no word of a diesel. The 2019 Jeep Wrangler is now Rs 7.94 lakh more expensive than the older generation's petrol option. And for this money, you get better looks, more tech and more premium experience inside the cabin.
Exteriors:
Jeep hasn’t messed with the Wrangler’s iconic bits like the 7-slat grille and its upright boxy silhouette. But there are small restyled elements that spice things up. For example, the round headlamps are now all-LED units and have DRLs integrated in them. Then there is a chunky steel bumper that helps the Wrangler achieve an impressive 41.8-degree approach angle. The meaty 18-inch wheels and flared wheel arches gives it a go-anywhere feel. At the back, changes are limited to all-LED tail lamps and a beefier bumper.
Interiors:
Yes, the Wrangler gets a restyled dashboard which has a minimalist design but sports more modern creature comforts now. Like a new twin-pod instrument cluster with a coloured MID as well as the 8.4-inch Jeep UConnect infotainment system. There are traditional Wrangler bits like round AC vents and chunky controls for the audio system and air conditioner.
Completing the features list is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, push button start, automatic headlamps as well as rain sensing wipers. Safety features include 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear view camera, ESP, roll mitigation control and traction control.
Offroad-biased features and specifications:

The Wrangler has the prestige Trail Rated badge, which means they have passed tests in five aspects of off-roading: traction, ground clearance, articulation, maneuverability and water crossing ability. The 2019 Wrangler features an approach angle of 41.8 degrees, breakover angle of 21 degrees, and departure angle of 36.1 degrees. You also needn’t worry about scraping the belly as the Wrangler comes with a massive ground clearance of 215mm! And last but not the least, its water wading capacity is an impressive 762mm.
Hardware equipment includes a full fledged low range gearbox and locking differentials on both sides. More electronic aids come in the form of Jeep’s Selec Trac system that feature off-road modes, hill start assist, hill descent control as well as off-road biased ESP and traction control system.
