We had already seen spy shots of the new RC 390 being tested abroad and we were hoping KTM might showcase it at the 2019 EICMA, but the new RC 390 was nowhere to be seen on the KTM stand. Now though, KTM has unveiled the 2020 RC 390 but it’s not all-new, in fact, it has just received a new paint scheme. The 2020 variant comes in a subtle new black and white paint scheme with orange highlights. The 2020 RC 125 has been updated with a new livery as well.

Mechanically, both the motorcycle remain the same as their current models. So it’s the same 373cc engine in the RC 390, which makes 43PS of power and 35Nm of torque. Interestingly, the 390 Adventure, which gets a BS6-compliant motor, has the same state of tune as the 390 Duke. So we believe the upcoming India-bound RC 390 should also have the same power output as before. The 2020 RC 125 is powered by the same 124.7cc liquid-cooled motor as seen on the older-gen model. This powerplant makes 14.5 PS at 9,250rpm and 12Nm at 8000rpm.

There’s no confirmation from the Austrian bike maker about when it will launch the 2020 RC 390 and the RC 125 in India. So could we see the updated motorcycles along with the 390 ADV next month? Well, we don’t know what surprise KTM is planning for us.
