[Update: The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been spotted in a production-ready state. The bike is likely to replace the Thunderbird 350X. Head here for more details.]
It seems like Royal Enfield test riders are not getting any breaks from testing their upcoming motorcycles. We have already seen test mules of the new Classic 350 prowling on Indian roads. Now, a fresh set of images have surfaced online revealing three test mules of the upcoming Thunderbird 350 X. Of the three, one seems to be fully accessorised with a huge windscreen, chrome-finished exhaust and stainless steel saddle mounts.
In terms of design, the upcoming Thunderbird 350 X will get a major overhaul. The fuel tank has been slightly redesigned and the bike now features a new split seat. However, the split grab rails are likely to remain as is. Royal Enfield might have also tweaked the current 346cc motor. We expect the 2020 iteration to get a slight power bump compared to the current Thunderbird 350 X.
What else will be new in the upcoming all-new Thunderbird 350 X? Quite a lot, actually, and you can read all that over here.
Considering that the 2020 Thunderbird will be BS6-compliant and will get a major makeover, we expect it to get a price increment of around Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 over the current model, which is priced at Rs 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, it will rival the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS and the Bajaj Dominar 400.
