The 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 debuted in India just yesterday. For 2021, the bike has received quite a few updates so let’s take a look at five of the most interesting changes it has undergone:
Same Form, More Function
There’s no denying the Ducati Panigale V4 is achingly beautiful. For 2021, it has received subtle dimension changes, such as a 15mm wider nose fairing and a 76mm wider end-to-end fairing for better handling. Even the winglets, that Ducati claims create 30kg downforce at 270kmph, are now standard on the base variant as well.
Monstrous Yet Manageable Power
The 2021 Ducati Panigale V4’s 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 motor makes 217PS at 13,000rpm and 123Nm at 10,000 rpm even after meeting the BS6 emission norms. Moreover, Ducati says it has improved the midrange so riding it should be easier in real-world conditions.
Laundry List Of Electronics
It’s only fair for a motorcycle of this capacity to pack an extensive list of electronics. The Bolognia missile features three riding modes (Street, Sport and Race), cornering ABS, traction control, slide control, wheelie control, launch control, and engine brake control. All of these are managed by a six-axis IMU and monitored on the 5-inch TFT display. You can also opt for the Ducati Multimedia System for Bluetooth-enabled smartphone connection.
Top-Notch Underpinnings
While the standard model is sprung on a 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork and Sachs monoshock (both fully adjustable), and rolls on 5-spoke cast aluminium alloys, the V4S gets electronically adjustable Ohlins NIX-30 fork and Ohlins TTX36 rear shock absorber. It comes standard with lighter 3-spoke Marchesini forged aluminium wheels. Braking hardware is standard on both variants: a 330mm front disc with Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers and a single 245mm disc with a 2-piston calliper at the rear.
Price
All these tweaks have obviously led to a higher asking price than before (approximately Rs 3 lakh). The 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 now retails at Rs 23,50,000 and the V4S at Rs 28,40,000 (both ex-showroom, pan-India).
