Last week, Kawasaki rolled out its 2022 lineup for the international markets. After the Kawasaki Ninja 650, another model to receive its yearly update is the Z900. Just like with the MY21 Z650 and Versys 1000 that were launched in India earlier this year, this update too brings only new paint schemes.
Moving away from the Kawasaki Green paint jobs, the Japanese brand has now introduced two new colours for the Z900. The Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Spark Black paint job comes with a dab of white on the headlight, tank and even the rear end. This colour accentuates the muscular look of the bike.
For those who prefer to go stealthy, the 2022 Kawasaki Z900 has been introduced in a new Metallic Matte Twilight Blue/Metallic Spark Black colour. The deep blue colour takes up a fair chunk of the tank and the headlight. Both the paint schemes share the same blacked out components, and even the white rim sticker.
Mechanically, Kawasaki has made no changes to the Z900. It continues to use the same 948cc inline-four motor producing 125PS at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm at 7,700rpm.
The 2021 Kawasaki Z900 is priced at $9,099 which translates to around Rs 6.36 lakh. It will make it to our shores by the end of this year or early 2022. Given Kawasaki’s penchant to hike prices regularly, we expect the new model to cost approximately Rs 10,000 over the current model, which retails at Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In fact, the Z900 was one of the highest-selling big bikes in April this year.
