[UPDATE: Suzuki has launched the 2021 Hayabusa at a phenomal price point of Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom India). Head here to know when it will reach your nearest Suzuki dealership.]

  • The Dhoom bike is expected to launch within a month.
  • The 2021 Hayabusa will be offered in all three colours in India.
  • It gets an updated engine, an extensive electronics package, and a revamped design for 2021.

We recently told you the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is all prepped to hit Indian shores very soon. Now, there’s another juicy news about the Busa. Our sources have revealed that when launched in India, the Dhoom bike will be available in all three colours: Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Burnt Gold, Metallic Matte Sword Silver/Candy Daring Red, and Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Mat Stellar Blue.

The stand out bit here is that many international markets such as the UK and Australia get only two colour options, missing out on the white one. However, in India, all three colours will be available from the get-go.

The launch is pretty close but thanks to the massive spike in COVID-19 cases, Suzuki India could postpone the launch or opt for an online event. Suzuki was also planning to organise a ‘Hayabusa Day’ to showcase the new bike.

Apart from the exciting new colours, the Busa packs a lot of goodies for 2021. The third-gen Hayabusa is probably the most feature-packed Busa to date. It gets an extensive electronics suite, including engine brake control, wheelie control, cruise control, hill hold control, and launch control -- all accessible through a dual-pod semi-digital instrument cluster that we totally dig.

The Hayabusa is theoretically powered by the same 1340cc inline-four motor, but the engine has undergone many changes for BS6 compliance. The power output has gone down, though, but Suzuki claims it’s now more tractable than before. It sees several other changes too. Check out our in-depth breakdown of the 2021 Hayabusa.

When it arrives, we expect the Hayabusa to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). With its main rival, the Kawasaki ZX-14R being discontinued, the Busa will take on only the BMW S 1000 RR and the Kawasaki Z H2 here.
