Suzuki India launched the 2021 Hayabusa back in April this year. Just a few months post its launch, the brand opened bookings for the second time around on July 1. And as expected, the ‘Peregrine Falcon’ immediately flew off the shelves. Yes, you read that correctly, the 2nd batch of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa was sold out in just 60 minutes.
Given the large fanbase for the Japanese hyperbike, even the first lot, containing 101 units, was sold out in less than a day.
The bike received comprehensive updates for 2021, including a BS6-compliant motor tuned to deliver
190PS and 150Nm of peak torque. A suite of electronic rider aids helps keep the bike on a leash. It features a six-axis IMU, lean-sensitive traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and engine-brake control as well. Suzuki has also thrown in a bi-directional quickshifter.
The entire package costs Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As of now, the Suzuki Hayabusa has no direct rivals. However, there are other litre-class bikes for a similar price tag. Enter the 2021 Kawasaki ZX-10R.
