Audi has opened its order books for the Q7 facelift in India and customers can reserve their new Q7 for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh either via the official Audi website or the myAudi connect app. Notably, the price announcement of the Q7 facelift will take place on November 28. The updated SUV comes with subtle design changes, and new features, but retains its V6 engine option. Here is all you need to know about the facelifted Audi Q7.
The second facelift of the Q7 brings notable changes to its design, including a redesigned grille, which has the same shape but it now comes with hexagonal design elements. It also gets an updated front bumper with sleeker air dams, and the rear bumpers have also been tweaked. Audi is offering the new Q7 with a new set of alloy wheels, and reworked headlamps which have sleeker and fresh lighting elements.
The silhouette of the side profile remains the same and even at the back, the most noticeable change is the sleeker taillamps with the new lighting elements. The India-spec model will be available in a choice of 5 colour options, namely Sakhir Gold, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, and Glacier White.
On the inside, the overall layout of the cabin has been retained, and the only noticeable change is the housing of the digital driver’s display. However, it will come with a few additional features and new trim options. Speaking of which, the India-spec model will come in 2 interior themes: Cedar Brown and Saiga Beige. Plus, the touchscreen infotainment system has also been updated, and it will allow users to download third-party apps, while the driver display will show more warnings than before from the driver assistance system.
Rest of the features are expected to be the same as the current version, which includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital driver’s display, four-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. In terms of safety, it is expected to come with multiple airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, and few ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) features.
The Q7 facelift will retain the engine option from the outgoing version, which is a 3-litre, turbocharged, V6 petrol engine producing 345 PS and 500 Nm. This motor is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which delivers power to all four wheels in an all-wheel-drive system. That said, the SUV can go from 0-100 kmph in a claimed 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph.
Expect the upcoming Audi Q7 facelift to command a premium over the outgoing model, and its prices can start from Rs 90 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue its rivalry with the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Volvo XC90.
