Audi showcased the new Q5 SUV and the RS 3 performance sedan at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. While we can’t wait to get in and go for a drive in both the upcoming offerings, Audi will take a few months’ time before it puts them on sale in India. To make up for this wait and to keep loyalists in India happy, the VW-owned carmaker has launched a Dynamic Edition of the Q3 SUV in India.

With only 101 units for sale across the country, Audi should have added the ‘Limited’ word during its christening. While the variant is destined to not sell in big numbers, Audi has played it quite well by launching it during the festive period. So how does it differ from the rest of the variants available in India? It comes as standard with Audi e-LED, Audi logo projection carpet lamps on front doors, aggressive front lower bumper and lip spoiler, sporty air inlet cover, clear lens tail lamps, “Quattro” label on rear doors, chrome garnishing on front grille, full paint finish on wheel arches, front and rear bumpers and side rocker moldings to make it look more butch.

During the event, Joe King, Head, Audi India said, “The Audi Q range underscores the sportiness, sophistication and the progressiveness of the brand – the ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’, and the Audi Q3 has taken it a step further ever since its market introduction in 2012. It has been the most successful model in its segment. The new Audi Q3 launched last year had upped the appeal with a refreshed design and a number of technical innovations. With the festive spirit in the air, we feel that it is the opportune time to launch the Audi Q3 Dynamic Edition – a successful car, now made even better with host of features, making it even more attractive for our Audi enthusiasts.”

The Audi Q3 Dynamic Edition is powered by the same 35 TDI engine that does duty under the Premium and Premium Plus variants in India. It is tuned to produce 176PS of power and 380Nm of torque. The powerplant is mated to a seven-speed S-tronic transmission for those seamless gear shifts. If you hurry, you can get this cosmetically updated Q3 for a price tag of Rs 39.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
