Audi S6 launched at Rs 85.99 Lakh

The Audi A6 is a typical, flawlessly designed German luxury saloon that is available in India with a choice of diesel and petrol engines to suit different personas in the world of suits and ties. Audi has now introduced a new angle to its executive luxury sedan with the launch of the 2013 S6 performance luxury sedan in India. 

Armed with a 4.0 litre V8 turbo charged direct injection petrol engine, the Audi S6 develops a healthy 420PS of power and 550Nm of torque and is mated to a seven-speed S tronic automatic gearbox. The engine shuts down four cylinders under partial throttle to better fuel efficiency.

Power is put down on the road with Audi’s legendary Quattro all-wheel drive technology. The S6 can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and onwards to an electronically limited top speed of 248km/h. 

Visual differences between the Audi S6 and A6 models include S6 badging, aluminium accents on the front grille, a lip spoiler and bigger 19 inch wheels shod with lower profile tyres. 

Here in India, the Audi S6 treads a middle line, in terms of power and price between performance executive luxury saloons such as the BMW 535i, Volvo S60 T6 and the Jaguar XF 5.0 and high performance executive luxury saloons such as the BMW M5 and the Jaguar XFR.
