Bentley has launched the new Flying Spur luxury sedan for the Indian market, at an event held in New Delhi at Exclusive Motors, the official dealers of Bentley in India. The car is launched at a base price of Rs. 3.10 cr ex showroom New Delhi.

Bentley claims the Flying Spur to be the fastest road-going luxury four door sedan in the world, powered by a 6.0-litre, twin turbo W12 engine.  It develops 625 PS and an earth churning 800 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0-100 kph in just 4.6 seconds and on to a top whack of 322kph. All that power is channeled through the transmission to all the four wheels via the all-wheel drive system. With a standard torque split of 60 per cent to the rear wheels and 40 per cent to the front, the Flying Spur has the ability to vary this division up to 85 per cent to the rear axle or 65 per cent to the front depending on available traction. The Bentley also has an independent computer-controlled air suspension which helps absorb almost every bump on the road.

Present at the launch Chris Buxton, Regional Manager, India, South Africa & Middle East said, “India is a very important market for Bentley, our association with Exclusive Motors has been really rewarding and goes back a long way. India is the hub of luxury, the country of the erstwhile Maharaja’s, who were the true patrons of bespoke luxury. We have, in the past received a heartening response from our valued customers and I think the launch of the New Flying Spur will truly delight our loyal and discerning audience. The new model is faster and more powerful than its predecessor, while also featuring enhanced cabin technology and even higher levels of comfort and refinement.”

The Flying Spur has a sumptuous hand crafted interior and is available in both four and five seat configurations. The new Flying Spur features redesigned front and rear seats trimmed in natural premium-quality leather. The new seats use a softer yet more durable hide unique to Bentley and available in twelve different colours.

The car has features such as a high resolution 8” touch-screen interface, 64gb internal memory, satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, voice activation control, wi-fi hotspot, two 10” lcd screens at the back of the front seats and a touch screen remote which controls seat heating and ventilation, climate control, multimedia system, etc. Bentley also claims that the Flying Spur delivers a combined cycle fuel economy of 6.8 km/litre, not bad for a 12 cylinder super saloon.
