BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the BS6-compliant baby twins, the BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS, tomorrow. The German marque had unveiled the G 310 GS just recently. You can read all about it here.
The two motorcycles are expected to get a massive price cut - somewhere around Rs 30,000. This should considerably enhance the bikes’ desirability quotient. The features of the G 310 GS have already been revealed and expect the naked G 310 R to get the same updates too. This includes ride-by-wire throttle, all-LED lighting system, assist and slipper clutch, 4-step adjustable brake and clutch levers, and new colour schemes.
Since the G 310 GS and the G 310 R share the same motor, expect the naked bike to also make the same amount of power as before (34PS & 28Nm), despite complying with stricter BS6 emission norms. The addition of ride-by-wire should ensure smoother throttle response and the slipper clutch should add an extra layer of safety, particularly during aggressive downshifts.
Apart from the aforementioned bits, the rest of the underpinnings have remained unchanged. Bookings for the two bikes are already open officially. Expect the deliveries to commence in a few days after launch. Stay tuned for more updates.
