The updated 200 Duke could get a price increment of around Rs 12,000
  • Expect KTM to launch the BS6-compliant variant by the first half of next year.
  • Apart from the updated engine, the motorcycle will remain the same as the current-gen model.
  • The 2021 200 Duke might feature an upswept exhaust like the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke.
  • The KTM 200 Duke has been on sale for years now but it has never received a major update all this while like its bigger cousin, the 390 Duke. However, the 200 Duke is now about to receive a significant update in the form of a BS6-compliant engine. Expect the Austrian manufacturer to launch the updated variant during the first half of next year.

Apart from the updated engine, the bike will remain mechanically the same as the current-gen model. Whether the 199.5cc mill will get a power bump or not is yet to be confirmed. Another major update that the upcoming 200 Duke will get is an upswept exhaust just like we have seen on the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke. The new exhaust system will allow for a larger cat-con unit, which should reduce emissions by a considerable margin. Due to the addition of a new exhaust layout, KTM might redesign the pillion foot-rest hangers. Aside from all these changes, we don’t expect the bike maker to make any cosmetic updates because that would bump up the cost by a significant margin.

The current-gen 200 Duke is priced at Rs 1.62 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), but after the inclusion of a BS6-compliant engine, KTM could increase the price by around Rs 12,000. Click here to know more about BS6 and how will it affect you in the coming months.
