Ducati is all set to launch the BS6 Panigale V4 and the Diavel 1260 in June
Some dealerships have commenced pre-bookings at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.
Both bikes will arrive in two variants - Standard and S.
Ducati recently launched the Streetfighter V4, the most powerful naked bike ever, in our country. And now, the Italian powerhouse seems all set to expand its BS6 lineup with the Streetfighter’s faired sibling, the 2021 Panigale V4, and the 2021 Diavel 1260. Both are expected to make their debut in the first week of June. Some dealerships have even started accepting pre-bookings for both bikes at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.
The Panigale V4 is Ducati’s flagship superbike made to set racetracks on fire. It is powered by a Euro-5 compliant 1103cc V4 engine putting out 216PS which is aided by a top-of-the-line electronics suite. For 2021, it gets winglets as standard, tweaked riding modes, self-bleeding brakes and clutch, and has become more tameable, as claimed by the Italian bikemaker.
We expect Ducati to launch the Panigale V4 in two variants - Standard and S; the latter featuring an Ohlins electronic suspension setup and Marchesini wheels. Moreover, since we had received other Panigale variants in the past, it wouldn’t be wrong to expect Ducati to bring the SP and the top-of-the-line R variant here as well.
In its BS6 avatar, the standard Panigale could be priced at Rs 24 lakh, while the S could cost Rs 28 lakh (about Rs 1.5 lakh over their BS4 prices).
As for the Diavel 1260, it is Ducati’s flagship cruiser bike and will compete with the Triumph Rocket 3 in India. Built around Ducati’s Testastretta 1262cc engine, it makes 164PS and 129Nm. To ensure that this beast doesn’t get out of hand, Ducati has thrown in an extensive electronics suite featuring launch control, quickshifter, traction control, cornering ABS, and wheelie control. Topping it all off are features like all-LED illumination, a TFT dash, cruise control, and an adjustable chunky 50mm USD fork.
Like the Panigale V4, this could also arrive at an elevated price tag of about Rs 19 lakh for the standard variant and Rs 20.5 lakh for the S variant that gets an Ohlins suspension setup and lighter wheels.
