Ducati Multistrada To Get V4 Power?

It is only a matter of time before Ducati plans on plonking its new Desmosedici Stradale V4 motor that powers its flagship Panigale series in its other motorcycles. We’ve already experienced it on the Panigale V4 and now will be seeing it on the upcoming Streetfighter. However, latest reports suggest that the firm is also looking to fit this bonkers motor in its Multistrada range.

According to Motorrad, a German magazine, a V4 powered test mule was spotted testing in Bologna, Italy. The same source also indicates that this all-new Multistrada will churn out close to 190PS of power and feature radar-based rider-assistance systems. Now, we’ve known for a while that Ducati has been working on this technology for quite some time. So it only makes sense to debut it on the next-gen Multistrada.

So, how soon can we expect to see it? Well, you might have to wait a while. Considering Ducati already has its hands full for this year’s EICMA motor show with the V4 Streetfighter set to take centre stage, we think the Bologna-based manufacturer might hold-off the new Multistrada for 2020. This will also give it some time to further develop and research its radar-based rider aids.
