Ducati India has delivered the first Panigale V4 Speciale in the country to motorcycling enthusiast Kartikey Uniyal. The bike is limited to 1,500 units globally and comes with a host of performance-oriented parts apart from the exclusive colour scheme.
Priced at Rs 51.81 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), the V4 Speciale is one of the most expensive motorcycles in the country. Compared to the regular edition, this motorcycle gets a billet steering plate with screen-printed logo and a unique serial number, Alcantara seat covered with Ultrasuede along with carbon fibre heel guards. The Speciale also gets a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, fully adjustable Ohlins electronic suspension at both ends (NIX-30 inverted forks up front and TTX36 monoshock at the rear), lighter lithium ion battery and a cast magnesium subframe. Interestingly, the lightweight Marchesini forged magnesium racing wheels are an optional fitment, and customers will have to shell out extra over the half a crore price tag.
With all these fitments, it weighs 174kg (dry). And its engine is good for 229.1PS at 13,750 rpm and 133.6Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is the only motorcycle that comes close to the blistering performance this bike offers. The Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale is retailed through the brand’s dealerships in NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai. Here’s Ducati’s statement regarding the delivery:

First Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale delivered in India
New Delhi, 13th November 2018: Ducati India, the Italian luxury brand has delivered the first Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale in India to motorcycling enthusiast Kartikey Uniyal. The Panigale V4 Speciale is a concentrate of Ducati’s style, sophistication and performance drawn directly from Ducati’s racing pedigree, to build a sophisticated superbike that is the closest thing possible to its MotoGP counterpart, the Desmosedici GP. Ducati has globally produced only 1,500 units of Panigale V4 Speciale and has delivered India’s first unit.

The new Panigale V4 Speciale completes the range of Panigale V4 and takes the concept of an Italian sport bike to an extreme. It comes with an exclusive and dedicated livery, a titanium Ducati performance by Akrapovic exhaust and a steering head worked from the solid, with an identification number. The Panigale V4 Speciale makes 226 hp @ 13,750 rpm and puts out 133.6 Nm of torque @ 11,000 rpm. It also has a lighter lithium-ion battery and a cast magnesium subframe and has a dry weight of 174 kg.
It is different, unique and distinguished, thanks to the tri color livery and many dedicated technical elements, like the billet steering plate with screen-printed logo and progressive number, Alcantra seat covered with precious Ultrasuede or the carbon heel guards. The limited edition Speciale comes with fully adjustable Ohlins electronic suspension at both ends, NIX-30 USD forks up front and TTX36 unit at the rear and Marchesini forged magnesium racing wheels are optionally available.
