Jawa is likely to launch the BS6-compliant versions of the Jawa and the Forty Two soon. When launched in 2018, the two motorcycles were already BS6-ready. Hence, the 293cc motor will not require much of an update. As a result, the BS6 variants will command a small premium of around Rs 5,000 over the existing models. Jawa will be bringing the update to both the single-channel as well as dual-channel ABS versions of the bikes. However, there's no official confirmation from the bike maker about the launch yet.

In its current guise, the 293cc single-cylinder motor makes 27PS and 28Nm. Since the motor is already BS6-ready, there will not be any changes in the output figures. What we can expect is a slight change in the dual-port exhaust headers like the ones seen on the Jawa Perak.
Mechanically, it is unlikely that Jawa will change anything on the two bikes or offer any more features. The conventional fork and twin rear shock suspension setup will be retained and so will the braking hardware, depending on the trim you choose.
