After rolling out BS6 versions of the Splendor iSmart 110 and Hero HF Deluxe, Hero MotoCorp has launched its first BS6-compliant scooter, the Hero Pleasure Plus FI BS6. It is priced at Rs 54,800 for the steel wheel variant and Rs 56,800 for the alloy wheel model. Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi. This makes it Rs 6,300 dearer its the BS4 counterpart.
The Pleasure BS6 features fuel injection and surprisingly, Hero has retained the power and torque figures (8.15PS and 8.7Nm). What’s even more surprising is that the peak power arrives 500rpm earlier than beofre, at 7000rpm. Consequently, Hero claims the updated Pleasure offers 10 per cent faster acceleration than before. Hero even claims that the changes have made the scooter 10 per cent more fuel efficient. Interestingly, peak torque remains unchanged. It’s even produced at the same 5500rpm as before.
In terms of looks, the alloy wheel variant gets chrome headlight surrounds, accents on the side panels and a chromed-out 3D logo.
The Hero Pleasure Plus FI BS6 remains the same as the BS4 version in terms of underpinnings. It continues to ride on a trailing link front suspension, single rear shock absorber, 130mm drum brakes on both ends with standard CBS. In terms of rivals, it competes against the Honda Activa 6G and the TVS Scooty Zest 110. Here’s the brand’s official release regarding the launch:
