The Honda CBR 650F has been priced at Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and is the largest displacement motorcycle to be locally assembled by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI). Talking about riding posture, the clip-on bars and rear-set footpegs result in a sporty but comfy riding posture as it isn’t overly aggressive like superbikes. The bike houses a 649cc, liquid-cooled, in-line-four motor pumping out 87PS at 11,000rpm and 63Nm at 8,000rpm. The motor is mated to a six-speed transmission and power is transmitted to the real wheel via chain drive.  Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a monoshock unit at the back. Given the performance on tap, Honda has equipped the motorcycle with twin disc brake at front and a single disc brake unit at the rear. The Honda CBR 650F will compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Benelli TNT 600GT.
