HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep, the most powerful Jeep Cherokee

Hennessey Performance (HPE) is known for picking up regular cars and then packing them with enough firepower that could put even some supercars to shame. Their latest endeavour, the HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep, uses a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and nearly doubles the power output from the Hemi V8 engine. 

In times of rising environmental concerns and car makers downsizing engines in their performance cars, Hennessey has taken the original Hemi engine from the SRT8 Jeep and bumped up its size from 6.4 litres to 7 litres. Fantastic! 

The 7-litre Hemi V8 also gets a twin turbocharger which allows the engine to belt out 816PS of power and a staggering 1,115Nm of torque. The results are astonishing with the bulky SUV recording an unbelievable 0 - 100km/h run in just 3.1 seconds! A whole lot of modifications have gone into the HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep to help the mad Jeep achieve these astonishing numbers. There is an upgraded transmission system, a torque converter, 6-piston 15.1-inch Brembo disc brakes at the front and 4-pistons at the back, lowered sport suspension, large 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels and a carbon-fibre front splitter. 

On the inside, the car gets custom leather interiors, alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and a serial-numbered dash plaque depicting which of the limited number of HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeeps this is. Hennessey has limited the production of the HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep to just 24 cars with a whopping, starting price of Rs. 1,23 crore! 

"We've built dozens of 600-800 hp Jeep SRT8s over the past five years, so we have an existing client base who will want to upgrade the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 to an even higher level", said company Founder and President John Hennessey. "This vehicle is designed for the performance-minded driver who lives in Aspen or Moscow and wants to be the fastest in all-weather conditions."
