The main talking point of the Jaguar F-Type facelift is what’s under the hood. It comes in three petrol engine variants: P300, P450 and P575. The P300 is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol that produces 300PS and 400Nm. The P450 is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 mill that produces 450PS/580Nm. The P575 utilises the same 5.0-litre supercharged V8 mill, but produces 575PS/700Nm, making it the most powerful variant in the F-Type’s lineup. All three engines are paired to a Quickshift 8-speed automatic transmission. The P300 and P450 variants get rear-wheel drive, whereas the P575 exclusively gets an all-wheel drivetrain.

Going into performance, the P300 goes from 0-100kmph in 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 250kmph. The P450 goes more than a second quicker at 4.6 seconds and reaches 285kmph. The most powerful P575 shaves off nearly a second at 3.7 seconds and a top speed hitting 300kmph. Other performance bits include an uprated chassis with new springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, and rear knuckles.

The Jaguar F-Type facelift not only provides a comprehensive upgrade over its predecessor, but also comes with a load of optional equipment for variant personalisation. It takes on the likes of the Mercedes Benz AMG GT and the Ford Mustang in India.
