Jawa BS6 Prices Announced

• Jawa launched the Perak BS6 in November.
• Both continue to offer similar power and torque as the BS4 models.
• The models are now priced differently according to the colour options.
• The BS6 motorcycles will be available from April 1.

Jawa has finally launched the Jawa BS6 and Jawa Forty Two BS6. The Jawa BS6’s price hike ranges from Rs 8,864 to Rs 9,928 and the Jawa Forty Two BS6 sees an increase of Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,928 over its BS4 predecessor. While the BS4 Jawas had uniform pricing across the range, it now varies depending on the colour. For example, the maroon option costs Rs 1,064 more than the other two colours, black and grey. The Jawa BS6 motorcycles will be available from April 1.

 According to Jawa, since the BS4 Jawas already had a BS6-ready motor, the new models retain similar power and torque characteristics. The company claims that by the use of cross port technology, it has been able to meet BS6 emission norms as well as retain the signature Jawa exhaust sound. Jawa has not yet revealed the new power and torque numbers of its BS6 models. We shall update it here as soon as it’s out. 

Other than the motor, the Jawa does not receive any cosmetic or feature updates. Jawa launched the Perak in BS6 guise in November. However, like the Jawa BS6 and Jawa Forty Two, the Perak too will be available in April once the BS6 emission norms come into effect.
