Ever since their launch in November last year, both the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two have seen unprecedented hype. The popularity of the two models has been so high that the company had to suspend online bookings for the entire year, as it wasn’t able to keep up the production to match the demand. In case you were able to book one of the two motorcycles recently, here’s how long you’ll have to wait.

Even though Mumbai and Kolkata have the minimum waiting period, you’ll still have to wait till February 2020 to get your hands on your motorcycle. In case you happen to live in Pune, prepare to wait till May 2020. Also, by that time, we might see Royal Enfield introducing the 2020 Classic 350, which could potentially sway customers away.
The company had initially unveiled three bikes back in November 2018, however, only the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two are currently on sale. The base Jawa Forty Two retails for Rs 1.55 lakh, while its dual-channel ABS variant is priced at Rs 1.64 lakh. On the other hand, the Jawa carries a sticker price of Rs 1.64 lakh, while its dual-channel ABS model costs Rs 1.73 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). We’ve ridden the two motorcycles, and here’s what we think of them.
