A couple of days ago, Jawa announced it’ll start accepting bookings for the Perak on January 1, 2020, with deliveries slated to commence from April 2. However, there was no clarity on the booking amount. Well, the brand’s finally cleared the air. Interested customers can book the factory custom bobber for a token amount of Rs 10,000. Do hurry though, as there’s a cap on the number of bookings Jawa will accept. To jog your memory, the Perak retails at 1,94,500 (ex-Delhi) -- Rs 30,500 more than the standard Jawa.

From a design standpoint, the Perak remains quite close to the pre-production model that was unveiled last November. It features the same hardtail design paired with a single seat and a stealth black paint scheme.
The Perak draws power from a bored-out 334cc single-cylinder engine, derived from Jawa’s smaller 293cc unit. The motor complies with BS6 emission norms making it the first future-proof bike from Jawa. In its current state of tune, it makes 30.4PS and 31Nm.

In terms of underpinnings, the Perak uses a conventional telescopic front fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock neatly tucked underneath the seat for a clean hardtail look. The bike is anchored by disc brakes on both ends, paired with dual-channel ABS.
