Some litre-class models are now Rs 25,000 more expensive!
Kawasaki was among the first brands to have hiked prices across its range at the start of this year. Despite becoming dearer then, models like the Z650 and Versys 1000 didn’t pack much to justify the hike. Now, the revered Japanese label has yet again hiked the prices for its popular models. Thankfully, the recently launched Ninja 300 BS6 and the Ninja ZX-10R have been unaffected. The new prices will be effective April 2021 onwards. Here’s the latest price list:

The price hike for these models is pretty steep, especially considering they had received a bump ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 just three months ago. Some other models that have been spared the hike are the KX, KLX, Z H2, and Z H2 SE.

With the Triumph Trident 660’s launch just around the corner, this price hike certainly spells doom for the Z650, especially if Triumph manages to price its offering under Rs 7 lakh. But should you wait for the British triple or book your Japanese twin before the new prices come into effect? Maybe this will help you to take a call.
