Kawasaki India started the new year with a bang by launching the Kawasaki Z H2 and Z H2 SE yesterday. The Japanese brand has now hiked the prices of the 2021 Z650 and the new Versys 1000. Interestingly, Kawasaki has hiked the prices on the pretext of a MY 2021 launch. Also Read - Will we see Yamaha’s First ADV offering in 2021?
Talking about prices, the 2021 Kawasaki Z650 retails for Rs 6.04 lakh whereas the 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 carries a sticker price of Rs 11.19 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). This makes the new Z650 Rs 10,000 more expensive than the older bike while the new Versys 1000 carries a premium of Rs 20,000 over its predecessor. Apart from the price hike, no other changes have been made on both the motorcycles. Also Read - New Kawasaki Launches In 2021
Despite the price hike, the 2021 Kawasaki Z650 is now the most affordable Kawasaki bike you can buy in India as the BS6 version of the Ninja 300 hasn’t been launched yet. As part of the last update, the Z650 had received LED headlight, new TFT screen, smartphone connectivity, and a bit of a design refresh. As for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 , it's the flagship ADV tourer offering from the Akashi-based brand in India. Unlike the Triumph Tiger and the BMW F 850 GS, the Versys 1000 is more tarmac-oriented. Its supple suspension setup and creamy power delivery makes it one of the best touring motorcycles. As part of the update, the Versys 1000 was equipped with an LED headlight and better electronic aids. Read more about the Kawasaki Versys 1000 here .
