The 2020 Kawasaki Z900 is finally here. Well, it’s not exactly the 2020 model. What the Japanese bike maker has to offer instead is the Z900 Special Edition that’s powered by a Euro 4-compliant engine. It’s priced at Rs 7.99 lakh, a price hike of around Rs 29,000 over the previous-gen model which retails at Rs 7.69 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). What you get for the price is the new Z “sugomi” styling as well as better features and updated mechanicals. The streetnaked will be available for a limited time period with two new colour options - grey and black.
Notably, the launch price is only applicable for customers who are willing to pay the full price of the bike till 20 March 2020. These customers can expect delivery of the Z900 Special Edition by the end of February 2020. We’d hurry up if we were you as this price is expected to jump up to around Rs 8.50 lakh to Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) once the motor is updated to comply with Euro 5/BS6 emission norms. The Z900 Special Edition model is believed to be the same bike that’s sold in certain Asian countries which adhere to lower emission regulations.
Here’s the official press release from the manufacturer for your reference.
