The Kia Syros hasn’t drawn all the garnered attention for nothing. It is set to be the most premium sub-4m SUV on offer in India with its feature-rich stature and the many segment-first features it brings, some of which are inspired by the brand’s flagship EV9 model. In this report, we’ll take a look at all those features that are exclusive to the Syros in the sub-4m segment:
The Kia Syros features a dual-display setup that includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display available from the base variant. Additionally, it offers a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, which is available from the one-below-top spec trim onwards. This setup is the largest display in this segment.
The Syros also includes a 5-inch digital display panel for the AC controls, integrated between the two main screens. This convenience feature is inspired by the EV9, and like the digital driver’s display, it is offered from the one-below-top spec trim.
While ambient lighting is available in some other sub-4m SUVs like the Hyundai Venue and Nissan Magnite, the Syros takes it a step further with 64-colours in the spectrum. This feature enhances the Syros’ premium appeal and gives you numerous options to pick the colour of your choice.
The Syros extends the comfort of ventilated seats to the rear passengers, albeit for the thigh section only. The reclineable rear seats also take care of maximum passenger comfort with sliding adjustments adding to more cabin space. For those who prefer being chauffeured, the Syros sets a new standard in the segment.
In addition to front and rear parking sensors, the Kia Syros includes side parking sensors for added convenience when maneuvering in tight spaces. This feature is exclusive to the fully loaded top variant and will come in handy while maneuvering the car in tight spaces.
Apart from the features listed above, the Kia Syros is equipped with all essential modern amenities found in other cars in this segment. It also introduces segment-first flush-type door handles. With such a comprehensive feature set, the Syros is expected to command a premium over its possible rivals, which could start from Rs 9 lakh. Its pricing will be announced at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The Syros positions itself as a premium alternative to sub-compact SUVs and a potential rival to many compact SUVs. It will compete with models like the Maruti Brezza and Grand Vitara, Hyundai Venue and Creta, Tata Nexon and Curvv and the Mahindra XUV3XO.
