When it comes to new car launches, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) certainly knows how to go about them. The British car manufacturer has been lately going big by conducting grand and spectacular feats that have grabbed the attention of many around the world. To give you an idea, Jaguar conducted a gravity defying stunt that had the all-new F-Pace performing a 360-degree loop in order to celebrate the company’s 80th anniversary. The spectacular feat had Jaguar earn a Guinness World record-breaking achievement.

Similarly, the India launch of Jaguar’s first SUV offering will also certainly be one worth looking forward to. To give you a heads-up, the event will be held at the Wilson College Gymkhana in Mumbai, Maharashtra and will feature a 18-meter tall installation, christened as the ‘Beacon’. The sculpture has been created by Arzan Khambhatta who has taken inspiration from modern British architecture. The ‘Beacon’ will act as a dramatically designed ramp that tapers critically towards the bottom, creating an illusion of a launch pad for the F-Pace. Synchronised lighting will be projected on the Beacon which will bounce off its metallic surface adding more glitter to the launch of the F-Pace, literally.

The event will also have everyone tapping their feet to the energetic performance by ace Indian music composer and singer, Shankar Mahadevan. Lastly, the entrance of the Jaguar’s performance SUV will be led by none other than renowned racecar driver Narain Karthikeyan who will set the pulse racing as he drives the F-Pace onto the stage. The live telecast of the event will be aired on JLR’s Indian website at 20:02 hours today.

Notably, it’s not the first time the first time the manufacturer has done something so outlandish. For the new XF, prior to its official unveil, Jaguar had the car perform a daring high-wire drive, across two 34mm thick wires suspended high above the water. For the XE, JLR had firstly formed an 'XE' shape with 1,000 employees, which was followed by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team flying over the formation. The car was then air-lifted by a helicopter from the Solihull plant to London, where it was later placed on a high-speed landing craft for the next stage of the journey. The spectacular feat was completed with the XE being escorted by two 1960 Jaguar Mark II Police cars.
