[UPDATE: Revolt has launched the RV400 in India and here are the details. We've also ridden the motorcycle and you can check out our first ride review here.]
Indian startup Revolt Intellicorp is all set to launch the first electric motorcycle in the country tomorrow. For the uninitiated, the brand is founded by Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma, and the company has an R&D centre and a production plant in Manesar. The upcoming motorcycle comes with an ARAI-certified range of 156km and will feature swappable batteries a la the recently launched 22Kymco iFlow.
The design sketches reveal the upcoming bike will be a naked. Revolt claims its AI-based features will help in optimising the battery performance based on one's riding style. The claimed top-speed stands at 85kmph. Other features include 4G connectivity with Over The Air (OTA) updates. Going by the design sketches, expect the bike to pack premium underpinnings like inverted fork, rear monoshock and disc brakes at both ends.

Revolt plans to set up dedicated charging stations as well. The motorcycle will be launched in Delhi first, followed by other major cities. Revolt’s upcoming bike is localised to over 75 per cent and the bike will be eligible for FAME II subsidy. The company plans to fully localise the bike by end of next year. We expect the upcoming motorcycle to cost Rs 1 lakh (on-road).
