Revolt Intellicorp has taken the wraps off its first electric bike - the RV 400. It’s also the first AI-enabled electric motorcycle in the country which promises to make your average commuter motorcycle feel wooden. The bike comes with a host of features which can be accessed via the company’s dedicated mobile application. Here’s a closer look at the bike and the kind of equipment it carries.
The Revolt RV 400 looks rather stylish in this dual-tone paint scheme called the Rebel Red. Customers can also choose from an all-black paint scheme called the Cosmic Black.
In terms of features, the bikes come with an LED headlight, taillight and turn indicators.
It gets a full-digital instrument console which provides information such as battery status, battery temperature, trip meters, odometer, power modes and the current temperature.
The company has taken a slightly different approach with its switchgear design which uses rounded buttons instead of the conventional square or rectangular ones.
The RV 400 gets a slightly stepped up single-piece seat, mid-set footpegs and a single-piece handlebar for an upright riding posture.
The power button is placed on the tank, hinting at a keyless ignition system. Alternatively, customers can use the dedicated mobile application to start the motor.
Revolt has also introduced an interactive mobile app for the RV 400 which lets users access the bike's vitals remotely.
Through the app, users can remotely unlock the RV 400, order a battery, find the nearest battery swap station, check estimated range in different modes and even share the bike’s location. Customers can even upload important documents like driver’s licence or a copy of the registration certificate on the app.
That’s not all, the AI enabled RV 400 can receive OTA (Over The Air) updates which could solve any bugs without you having to visit a service station.
The bike also boasts of three power modes and the ability to change the sound of the exhaust note.
And if you were to run out of juice, you could just visit the nearest battery swapping station and replace the depleted battery for a new one.
The RV 400 uses an electric powertrain and a lithium-ion battery which gives it a claimed top speed of 85kmph and an ARAI-certified range of 156km on a single charge.
The charging port is placed right under the seat, which makes it easily accessible.
In terms of underpinnings, the Revolt RV 400 features a premium upside front fork and a rear monoshock.
Anchoring the bike are disc brakes at both ends paired with CBS (Combined Braking System).
Its 17-inch alloys are shod with 90/80 front and 120/80-section rear tyres.
Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a belt drive rather than the conventional chain drive.
