But there’s still hope...
  • The Revolt RV300 and the RV400 have been sold out for November-December 2019.
  • The RV300 costs Rs 84,999 whereas the RV400 is priced at Rs 98,999 (ex-showroom).
  • In September, the brand had announced that its bikes were sold out till October.
  • Revolt has announced that its electric bikes, the RV300 and RV400, are sold out for November - December 2019. Bookings for the January -February 2020 batch are open, and the token amount stands at Rs 1000. The bikes are sold only in Delhi and Pune for now, so expect limited numbers, like before. More cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai will be added in the future. Restricting the availability to limited cities is a good move by the brand as electric bikes are heavily dependent on EV infrastructure and not too many cities in the country have a strong charging network at the moment.

Revolt recently announced a ‘conventional’ pricing scheme called Revolt Cash Down for the two electric bikes. The RV300 costs Rs 84,999 while the RV400 will set you back by Rs 98,999 (ex-showroom Delhi), including FAME II subsidy. This pricing makes the bikes more affordable than the cumulative costs incurred at the end of three years should one opt for the My Revolt Plan.

The reasonable pricing and the fact that the two bikes are the only electric motorcycles available in India at present could be some of the reasons for this warm market response. We have contacted Revolt about the exact numbers sold and the number of bookings so far, and are awaiting a response for the same. Revolt has a plant in Manesar, Haryana, with an annual production capacity of 1.2 lakh units per year.
