Revolt has announced that it will finally launch the RV400 on August 28. The electric motorcycle has had its launch date shifted twice so far - from July 22 to August 7 and now finally settling down on August 28. The bookings for the motorcycle had begun on June 25 as potential buyers could log on to the company’s website or on Amazon to pre-book their RV400 for just Rs 1,000. We already had confirmation that the RV400 would receive FAME-II subsidies, but with the reduction in GST rates, we expect the electric bike to be priced lower than or around Rs 1 lakh.

At the first showcase of the motorcycle, aspects such as the connectivity features, swappable battery tech and charging methods were revealed. The RV400 comes with a dedicated mobile application where you can access ride statistics, battery statistics and several range anxiety solutions as well. Plus, with the app, you can set what traditional internal combustion engine’s soundtrack you would like to be played while riding your RV400.

Exact details of the underpinnings are still unknown, but the RV400 will get a USD fork, a monoshock and disc brakes at both ends. CBS will be offered as standard. We will be riding the RV400 soon, but you would have to wait until August 28 for our thoughts. So stay tuned to ZigWheels!
