Our dealership sources have confirmed the arrival of the BS6-compliant Royal Enfield Classic 350 S. It’s priced at Rs 1,55,375 (ex-showroom), a premium of around Rs 10,000 over the BS4 model. The ‘S’ variant, which is positioned as Royal Enfield’s entry-level Classic, undercuts the standard model by nearly Rs 9,600. Unofficial bookings for the bike have commenced for a token amount of Rs 10,000.

In a bid to make the bike more affordable, the Classic 350 S trades in the standard bike’s chrome bits for blacked out components. It features a blacked-out engine, turn indicators and rims. Additional changes come in the form of single-channel ABS and a drum brake at the rear instead of dual-channel ABS and a twin disc configuration seen on the standard model. Changes also extend to the fuel tank, which uses simpler stickering to cut costs.

But those are the only changes that really stick out. It's powered by the same BS6-compliant 346cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that’s seen on the standard model. It’s tuned to produce 19.3PS at 5250rpm and 28Nm 4000rpm, mated to a 5-speed transmission. The bike’s suspension setup comprises a telescopic fork and a twin shock absorber setup at the rear.
