The Classic 350 lineup now consists of just two variants

We recently uncovered prices for the BS6-compliant single-channel ABS variant of Royal Enfield’s most popular motorcycle, the Classic 350. Now, the prices have been updated on the manufacturer’s official website, indicating that the updated single-channel bikes have been launched in their greener form.

There has also been a shakeup of the variants - the more affordable ‘S’ variant and the Redditch variants have been dropped, and the Classic 350 portfolio has been simplified to just two variants - Single-Channel ABS and Dual-Channel ABS. The former is priced at Rs 1,57,097, making it around Rs 11,000 more expensive than previous Classic X 350. Competition comes from other modern classic bikes like the Benelli Imperiale 400 (yet to be updated to BS6) and the Jawa twins (recently updated to BS6).

The Redditch Red option is now offered as a colour scheme on the single-channel ABS variant, as is the Mercury Silver option previously available on the Classic X 350. Redditch Green has disappeared from the lineup. We’re quite glad that RE has cleaned up and dumbed down the classification, since the number of variants was becoming a little confusing prior to the BS6 updates.

On the engine front, the single-channel ABS variant is powered by the same 346cc UCE motor that has been recently updated to meet BS6 emission norms on the dual-channel versions. This means a slightly lower output of 19.3PS at 5250rpm and 28Nm 4000rpm, with power still sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox.
