2017 Royal Enfield Classic

Royal Enfield has unveiled the 2017 versions of the Bullet and Continental GT models for the European market. The main update here is that both bikes are now Euro-4 compliant, conforming to the soon to be mandatory emission norms. Also, the bikes have now been equipped with ABS, which will be a standard fitment onwards from the 2017 edition.

2017 Royal Enfield Bullet

The company has kept the overall design of the 2017 edition Bullet and Continental GT models the same as to maintain the retro theme. The Classic variant now gets a disc brake setup at the rear instead of the drum brake unit. Other updates include new front fender cut-out and a simple screw cap for fuel tank. The Bullet also gets a rear disc brake assembly and a new passenger seat for better pillion comfort. The bikes feature a new catalytic converter in order to comply with the new emission norms. Power output details for the 2017 edition are yet to be announced but expect them to either remain the same or have a marginal change.

ABS and Rear Disc Upgrade

Royal Enfield is likely to launch the 2017 models in the European market by next month. Prices are expected to go slightly up north considering the new upgrades. For the Indian market, expect Royal Enfield to launch the updated models by end of March 2017. Expect moderate hike in prices in order to compensate for the new additional equipment.
