Although the Rapid isn’t an all-new car, Skoda has jettisoned its 1.5-litre TDI and 1.6-litre MPI engines for a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine. It could make for a quicker Rapid (pun intended) with 115PS of power and 175Nm of torque.
Skoda will soon launch three new cars in three different segments, including an entry-level sedan. Is this the most comprehensive change we’ve seen from the carmaker since it first arrived in India? Apart from the three new petrol-only models, Skoda is also expected to launch its made-for-India SUV based on the Vision IN concept.
