A few days back, we got confirmation from Triumph that it’s all set to launch the all-new Daytona 765 next year. And now, a new set of spy images showing a sportier variant of the Bonneville Bobber have surfaced online, indicating that the British bike maker could unveil it at the upcoming EICMA later this year.
The test mule wasn’t heavily camouflaged and this gave us a glimpse of several noteworthy updates the new Bobber is slated to get over the current model. For instance, the KYB telescopic fork seen on the current motorcycle has been replaced by a more premium and fully adjustable Ohlins USD fork.
Another major change seen in these images is the front brake. The test mule of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber was equipped with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers. The new brake setup should improve the braking performance of the bike, however, we will reserve our judgement until we get our hands on this new iteration of the Bobber.
Triumph has also swapped the flat handlebars seen on the standard variant with low-set clip-ons, which should offer a sportier riding posture. Apart from the addition of the Arrow mufflers, the powertrain seems to be similar. However, if the upcoming motorcycle is in fact a sportier variant, expect Triumph to tune the engine to produce a wee bit more power compared to the current model, which churns out 77PS of power and 106Nm of torque.
Just like the new Daytona 765 and the new Rocket III, the upcoming Bobber could also be sold under Triumph’s TFC range. To put it bluntly, it could be a limited edition motorcycle with a hefty price tag.
