Triumph Tiger 900 India Launch Tomorrow

We’ve followed it ever since its first spy shots and we’ve even had a chance to ride the bike on and off the road, so we already know pretty much everything about the new Triumph Tiger 900. Well, everything except its price in India. That last piece of the puzzle is all set to fall into place very soon, when Triumph officially launches its new big cat in India.

Thanks to the brand’s social media channels, we know that the Tiger 900 is going to be launched in India tomorrow, on June 19. We also know that three of the six variants will be making their way over to our shores, and to find out which ones they are, head here.

The Tiger 900 is powered by an all-new 888cc inline-triple motor that uses a T-shaped crankshaft to give it an uneven firing order. This also results in a very different exhaust note to its predecessor, and the 900 sounds almost like a twin.

As for the price of the Tiger 900, we expect Triumph to place it a little higher than the Tiger 800 currently listed on its website. The three variants could be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom), meaning that they’ll go up against the Honda Africa Twin and BMW F 850 GS.
