TVS To Host First Women's One-Make Series

TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of its Training Academy for Women. The academy had called upon entries for women from all the parts of the country. Any woman/girl over 13 years of age who had riding experience of two and more years was eligible to apply for the programme. Based on the entries, 25 candidates were selected to attend an intensive training programme for a day, on May 24, 2017. 15 successful candidates were then selected on the basis of the time recorded for the 3-lap race. Soundari Cindy, Priyamvada Saradhi, Malavika Hari, Tanika Shanbag, Aarthi E. M, Kokila Shivashankar, Ann Jennifer, Hari Dhaarani, Sameera Dahiya, Neha Masurkar, Aishwary Pissay, Haritha NaidU, Sonali Mukherji, Dimpy A and Pratiksha are the names of selected riders. 

These selected candidates will now compete in the TVS Ladies One-Make Series, the first edition of the TVS Racing Ladies One-Make Series. The training and racing program of the championship will be led by ex-TVS Racing rider Rajini Kishnan and a couple of other trainers from Rajini Academy of Competitive Racing. TVS Racing's champion riders, Jagan Kumar and Harry Sylvester, will also be a part of the academy as instructors. 

The racing school will commence from June 2017 and the company will be providing race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200s for the training purpose. A total of four races spread across the year will be conducted under the TVS Ladies One-Make Series 2017. Watch this space for more info on the TVS Ladies One-Make Series.
