A new Kia SUV, the Syros, is all set to make its way on our shores with its global debut on December 19. Up until now, we’ve had multiple teasers of the car, with the latest one dropping, showing the car in more light –‘quite literally’–as this time we get an up-close look at its rugged silhouette and key design elements. Let’s take a moment to break down the details revealed in this new teaser:
The Kia Syros’ previous teasers have hinted at the vertical lighting elements at the front and back. However, this time, we get an up-close look at the three vertically stacked LED headlights, complemented by sleek LED DRLs.
Right on the bonnet nose sits the brand moniker, a signature feature typical of other Kia SUVs. Moving to the side profile, the teaser highlights the rear door handle which gets a flush-fitted design, just like the one seen in the new Kia EV9.
The silhouette, as seen in earlier teasers, continues to have a boxy design, but this time, it shows off a good amount of muscle with its bulged out fenders, adding to its rugged character.

At the rear, we can spot a shark-fin antenna along with the sleek L-shaped LED taillights. That said, the bumpers and grille of the SUV remain shrouded in shadows, likely to be revealed during the debut—unless Kia surprises us with another teaser in the next two days.
The previous teaser of the Kia Syros offered a closer look at its interior, showcasing the center console, steering wheel, and large touchscreen infotainment system. The cabin is expected to feature an all-black theme with subtle grey accents.
A notable highlight is the new two-spoke steering wheel, which hints at ADAS functionality with a visible lane-keeping assist icon. The steering wheel also includes switches for terrain mode selection, drive mode selection, and voice assistant functionality.
The teaser further reveals additional switches on the center console, suggesting that the Syros might come equipped with a 360-degree camera and parking sensors. Other interior features shown include ambient lighting and a large touchscreen infotainment system, likely a 10.25-inch unit. A fully digital driver’s display, possibly also 10.25 inches, and ventilated front seats are expected to be part of the package. Additionally, the teaser confirms the presence of a panoramic sunroof, further elevating the SUV's premium appeal.
Expected to be positioned between the Sonet and Seltos in Kia's lineup, the Syros could share its powertrain options with the Sonet. This could include all the engine and transmission choices offered in the Sonet as given below:

Kia is likely to price the Syros starting at around Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). While it won’t have any direct competitors, its pricing will position it against a range of sub-4 metre and compact SUVs, including the Tata Nexon and Curvv, Hyundai Venue and Creta, Maruti Brezza and Grand Vitara, as well as the Mahindra XUV3XO.
