In September, the Yezdi Scrambler was spotted testing along with an ADV suspected to rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The shots taken back then were quite blurry. But now, new, clearer spy images have surfaced online, giving us a better look at the ADV.
For starters, it looks pretty hefty from the front, and the round headlight seems to be using a full-LED unit. There appears to be decent wind protection too, thanks to the tall windscreen. Also, unlike the Himalayan’s fork-mounted license plate, the Yezdi ADV’s unit is placed right above the headlight.
The handlebar seems fairly wide and tall. That, coupled with the neutrally placed footpegs, should offer an upright riding position, as seen in the spy shot.
It is expected to be powered by the 293cc single-cylinder motor borrowed from the Jawa. However, the tune could be slightly different to suit its ADV purpose.
We expect Yezdi to price its upcoming ADV at around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) and debut it in India by mid-2022. Once launched, it will rival the largely popular Royal Enfield Himalayan.
