So, Mercedes-Benz launched its 2013 model version of the E-Class and has everyone really impressed with the way it looks and how much better it drives as compared to the older version. But, here’s a more ferocious version of that very same lap of luxury on wheels, and it’s for the taking at a sticker price of Rs 1.29 crore.
For Mercedes-Benz fans with a severe need for speed, this extremely powerful performance-oriented E 63 AMG packs a 5.5-litre biturbo V8 with a colossal 558PS and 720Nm of torque.
Mated to a 7-speed automatic with paddle shifts this rear-wheel drive sedan can clock 0-100km/h in a scant 4.2 second. Speed, as in all models, is electronically limited to 250km/h.
Visually, the E63 AMG is different from the standard E-Class model with a AMG twin blade radiator grille in silver chrome and the so-called A-wing in the AMG front fascia. The distinct air outlet openings at the sides and the two sets of twin chrome tailpipes belonging to the AMG sports exhaust system stand out immediately.
Even the interiors get some special treatment with an abundance of black upholstery, AMG sports seats, and a black Nappa leather steering wheel rim with flattened top and bottom is finished in Alcantara.
Building on the already feature packed E-Class model, the E63 AMG version makes room for an Active parking assist, Attention Assist, Collision Prevention Assist, all-LED headlamps and a fantastic 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen BeoSound surround sound system.
