Yamaha R3: Same Price Other Options

Yamaha India reduced the prices of the R3 in India by Rs 1,10,000 on its ex-showroom price. The bike is now priced at Rs 3,59,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Let’s look at other options you can buy in the same price range as the R3:
Royal Enfield Bear 650
Price: From Rs 3,39,000 up to Rs 3,59,000 (both prices ex-showroom, Chennai)
The Royal Enfield Bear 650 is a scrambler styled motorcycle, and it is based on the Interceptor 650. It gets an updated design language, a new two-into-one exhaust, a wider handlebar, forward-set footpegs and a redesigned tail section. The Bear 650 is powered by a 648cc parallel-twin, air-cooled engine which makes 47.4PS and 56.5Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. It gets a round TFT display and all-LED lighting.
Kawasaki Ninja 300
Price: Rs 3,43,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is a sportbike from the Japanese manufacturer. It is powered by a 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine, which produces 39PS and 26.1Nm, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike gets a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue tachometer, dual-channel ABS and a slipper clutch in terms of features. It gets a twin headlight setup and a narrow tail section which gives it a sporty look.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
Price: From Rs 3,19,000 up to Rs 3,45,000 (both prices ex-showroom, Chennai)
The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a cafe racer styled motorcycle which gets a very vintage design. The bike gets clip-on handlebars, a flat single piece seat, and a sculpted fuel tank. The bike is powered by a 648cc parallel-twin, air-cooled engine which makes 47.4PS and 52.3Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of features, it gets a dual-pod instrument cluster with a small digital inset. The bike now comes with an LED headlight as well.
BMW G 310 GS
Price: Rs 3,30,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The BMW G 310 GS is an adventure motorcycle from the Bavarian manufacturer. It gets a very distinct design which includes aggressive tank extensions, a high front beak, and a slim tail section. The bike is powered by a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled that makes 34PS and 28Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. It gets all-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster and dual-channel ABS.
Yamaha MT-03
Price: Rs 3,49,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Yamaha MT-03 is the naked sibling of the R3. The bike gets a single-piece handlebar and a different headlight section which makes it look quite aggressive. The MT-03 is powered by the same 321cc, inline twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled as the R3 which makes 42PS and 29.5Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The features list is quite simple as it gets all-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster and dual-channel ABS.
