The Kia Syros has been introduced globally by the carmaker with a fresh new design and an array of standout features. This new Kia SUV will slot between the Sonet and Seltos as the most premium offering in the sub-4m SUV segment in India. It comes with both turbo-petrol and diesel engine options, spread across its six different variants: HTK, HTK(O), HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, and HTX Plus (O).
If you're excited about this new Kia SUV and wondering which variants offer what, we've got you covered in the next section:

The Kia Syros borrows two of the Sonet’s engine options: a 1-litre turbo-petrol with 120 PS and 172 Nm output and a 1.5-litre diesel engine churning out 116 PS and 250 Nm. For transmission choices, the petrol unit gets a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission while with diesel you get a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The powertrain specs in the Syros vary across its six variants which we’ll cover in another story.
The prices of the new Kia Syros is expected to be out in January 2025, probably at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Following that, the carmaker will start roll outs from early February. We reckon the Syros can be tagged around a starting price of Rs 9 lakh mark and go up to around Rs 17 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
With that it can be a potent alternative to many sub-4m and compact SUVs like the Maruti Brezza and Grand Vitara, Hyundai Venue and Creta, Tata Nexon and Curvv, as well as the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
